OpenSource Workshop

OpenSource is a free, community-centered digital art workshop funded by Arts for All and led by artist and educator Jeffery Hampshire. The project expands access to creative technology by bringing mobile, equipment-provided workshops directly into underserved communities and public-access spaces.

This 1.5-hour hands-on session introduces participants ages 12 and up to digital sculpting, 3D design, and creative technology through intuitive, art-focused activities. Using tablets and modeling tools, participants explore how digital form is created and shaped, and how these designs connect to physical making through 3D printing. No prior experience is necessary.

All equipment—including tablets, software, and 3D printing tools—is provided at no cost to the host site or participants. OpenSource workshops are designed to support organizations looking to offer accessible arts programming without needing their own digital tools.

We are currently seeking host locations for upcoming January workshops. Ideal partners include community centers, libraries, arts organizations, youth programs, and nonprofits committed to creative access within underserved or underrepresented communities.

Ages 12+ · Free · All equipment provided
